                              1 New Sponsors

We're pleased to announce two new sponsors: iXsystems as a gold
sponsor and Systemics Poland as a bronze sponsor.

iXsystems offers high-performance computing clusters, blade servers,
custom rackmount servers, and storage solutions to a wide
cross-section of industries. Using only the highest quality components
and manufacturing processes, iXsystems supplies FreeBSD, NetBSD,
OpenBSD and Linux rackmount servers to the global marketplace at
competitive prices. iXsystems supports and maintains the PC-BSD
project. iXsystems' support and development of PC-BSD helps drive
adoption of the FreeBSD operating system by Windows and Linux users
comfortable with a graphical user interface.

Systemics Poland Sp. z o.o. is a Polish service company with the
highest Sun Microsystems accreditation in service and education. Due

midrange and HighEnd servers, storage solutions, and the Solaris and
 FreeBSD OSes.

If your company is interested in sponsorship, please use the contact
form on the website to request details.

2 BSD Certification at LISA 06

Dan Langille and Dru Lavigne of the BSDCG manned a *BSD booth in the
exhibition hall at this year's LISA in Washington D.C. BSD is well
known in the Usenix sysadmin community and there was a fair bit of
 interest in BSD certification.

                         3 Psychometrics Explained

A new publication describing the importance of psychometrics is
available for download from the website:

 http://www.bsdcertification.org/downloads/psychometric.pdf

The pdf is currently available in English; we'll announce translations
as they become available in future newsletters.

This document focuses on the question creation phase of psychometrics.
