You missed my point. It don't want to say that Admin as to be a 
programmer. Well skilled admin should understanding how some common C 
system functions works.

How admin can use strace(1) truss(1)?
There are situations where logs can't help.

People i know, who are able to disgnose almost every problem on their 
favourite Unix OS, have this knowledge. It doesn't mean that they are 
programmers or write C programs.

This statement is an implication: Admin doesn't have to know C to be 
'good', but if Admin knows C, he is 'good'.

This are just my observations, which i wanted to share here.
