Hi all,

so, FOSDEM is over, and it was a success for all the BSDs and also for
the BSDCertification Group.

Here are some pictures i took:

Well, if you never been in Belgium, beware of the belgian beer. You
feel good at night, but horrible the next day ;-).

There was a Beer Event in a bar called Delirium. More than 400
different beers. Great event. But the next day i felt a bit corrupt.
And the fsck was done at 14:00....

So, we had a good booth with FreeBSD and OpenBSD as you can see at the
pictures. We had about 450 of BSDCG Flyers, and all were gone. Next
time we need more ;-).
The Flyers (german/english) can be found here;
http://misc.allbsd.de/Flyer/BSDCG/PDF/2008/

Matts talk about PC-BSD was a good entertainment and not that boring
like other talks. We had a lot of visitors at the BSD tracks. Next
time i plan to talk about BSDCG and BSD history.

Now to the exam itself.
I think we had 14 candidates. Thats a good quota for the first time in
Europe. Also the fastest finished in about 30 minutes. All candidates
finished the exam in the 90 minutes time-frame.
The room at Fosdem was very quiet and a bit away from the main event.
Also there were up to 200 seats?
All candidates said they were glad to take the exam. Some of the
candidates took the exam of fun: They just wanted to know how it looks
and how hard/easy it is.

In my blog i wrote something more about the FOSDEM:
http://www.grunix.de/archives/2008-02-25/423/FOSDEM-Ein-Erfolg-fuer-die-BSDs/
(german)

Ok, i need some coffee and go to work now.

Ah, the next exam will be this weekend at Chemnitzer LinuxTage:
http://chemnitzer.linux-tage.de/2008/service/bsd.html

I will be there, so, we see us in Chemnitz and next year at FOSDEM.

Cheers,
