The major hurdle to Firefox growth is highlighted: the lack of  
respected standards in site design.

It's nice to see open standards being mentioned, and the growth of  
Firefox has certainly reraised that issue which really seemed dead and  
gone for a while now. . . I thought W3C had gone into exile.

But why an ActiveX alternative to MS's ActiveX?  Why not just banish it  
and it's security-deficiencies?
