while qmail is a pretty secure MTA, it is infact that: a Mail Transfer 
Agent.  It does not handle POP or IMAP, it only moves the mail from 
machine to machine.

    having said that I have not had any experience with any of the above 
mentioned POP servers...i have used qpopper on debian.  but then i got 
smart and started using IMAP ;^)
