I think the idea is good, but the issue is getting it done.
A list is a quick way to get things going.. and a site would be more for 
posting jobs, resumes.. whereas the list would be to discuss the trade.

As it is the jobs list is good for posting jobs.

I don't want to discourage the project, but most endeavours I have seen 
along the lines of "let's make a job site" for xyz opensource don't go 
very far because of lack of time of the people pushing it.
