Inspired by this thread I went back to a dell pe2400 that junk to
linux, but is now up and running on FreeBSD. I'll post that dmesg once
I rebuild the kernel.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I'm glad to see that there are
so many reputable builder/retailers out there who support deployment
of the finer OSes.
