well, i didn't mean "selective VERP" as in official terminology; it was
merely my own description ;)

yes, we do VERP on these mailing lists, but only at an interval.  doing
so on every message is, well, a bad idea; but every so often isn't so
bad, while providing the benefits of VERP.
