I think you would have to dig for the specs to get power consumption.

I compared a few drives once and they were somewhat close. If you are going 
to have lots of drives or a large raid, then it may pay to pay attention to

For AMD CPUs you can see 3 lists.. which you can then search by power at:
http://products.amd.com/en-us/

The "third generation" AMD cpus are either 75W or 55W.
It is interesting to note that those 55W CPUs are quadcores; therefore, one 
can get a quadcore that uses less power than a single core. :-)
