  I use minio https://min.io/ . It’s not ceph it’s a s3 work-a-like but combined with is client you can interact with it as if it’s a standard-ish filesytem . 

Why I like it . It works on FreeBSD , newish illumos , and Linux .  It’s written in go and can be up and running in a few mins .
