Bryan Cantrill gave a talk at Stanford University (I guess in Feb,
2020) about the inappropriateness of the hardware people use when
building out their own computes. I've only watched the first 30 min
and I suspect the last part is touting his new company, but he does a
great job of explaining the problem which is why I am sharing it with
you all.

The problems Vixie laid out with the layers between browsers and
server processes doesn't stop there. They go all the way down to the
hardware on both ends.

Of course, the design that allows those problems is also the reason we
have affordable ubiquitous computing.
