    * Description: Large company with a very large global implementation
of linux systems. This company historically has several thousand large
solaris systems, some aix systems. They have made a serious
committment in direction to move business critical applications to the
linux platform. They have already implemented several large systems
globally on linux. They are looking for someone in their architecture
group to assist them in designing and engineering complex and well
supported systems globally. They are committed to designing systems
that are properly maintained and engineered so that production
environments are robust. Nice right?

      Required Skills.
      Expertise with Suse and Redhat. Several years of Unix systems
engineering. Knowledge of the OSDL Familiarity with current versions
of Suse, Redhat and what each vendor is going to release next.

      Experience coding, most likely in C - so that you could review the
linux source code, find bugs, fix them and even then package those
fixes and send to OSDL?

      This is a hands on architect, technical engineering lead position in
a decent size linux engineering group comprised of smart, well
rounded, talented engineers.
