Title: Linux Systems Programmer 

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 

Description: COMSYS started in 1972 and provides contract, project and direct placement. We are currently staffing a project of 14 people in Fairfield, CT. Will assist in the design and implementation of a new turret. Will focus on the operating system and services. Must have extensive experience in Linux systems programming using C++. Strong verbal and written communication required. Strong networking is required.
This is a contract with an initial term of 9 months. Compensation can be with full benefits, straight hourly or on a corp-to-corp basis. 


Required Skills:
Required Skills/Experience: 
• Design/Implementation: 
o C++ on Unix and/or Linux (Linux is heavily preferred) 
o Distributed and concurrent programming 
o OOP/OOD 
o SQL knowledge 
• Strong verbal and written communication 
• Strong networking 
• Process (full life cycle development)


Desired Skills/Experience: 
• Design/Implementation: 
o Embedded development, particularily on PowerQuicc and ARM processors 
o Systems- and architecture-level design experience 
o Telephony experience 
o In memory caching

• Unix/Linux system administration (this is not an administrative role, however we would like some understanding of this area)
