Schrödinger provides scientific software to pharmaceutical and biotech 
companies, research centers, and academic laboratories worldwide. We are 
looking for a senior system administrator in our New York office to 
provide internal technology support in a multi-platform environment. The 
person we hire will report to the President and will oversee all 
corporate IT needs.

Responsibilities include:

* Management of two administrators working in a remote office
* Hands-on Windows and Linux/UNIX system administration
* Specification and installation of hardware and software
* Tuning network and storage systems for optimal performance
* Administration of batch queuing systems and large Linux clusters
* Desktop and user support

Requirements:

* Substantial hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows
* Experience managing both people and projects
* Comfort with doing help-desk work as well as complex projects
* Experience working with software developers strongly preferred
