System Administrator for an organization in New York City.  Open source
software is a key component of their operation, and this position will
give you the opportunity to work hand in hand with some open source
project maintainers.  This group appreciates someone that can advance
their network with the latest open source tools out there.  Therefore,
creativity is an essential trait of the successful candidate.

Listed below are some of the skills that they are looking for the right

Based on the existing infrastructure, a successful candidate should have
in-depth knowledge of at least one tool in each category listed below,
and preferably peripheral knowledge of a second.
•    Operating systems: Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris
•    Web servers: Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx
•    Scripting languages: PHP, Python, Perl
•    Shell scripting: bash or any other
•    Network tools: Wireshark, ngrep or equivalent
•    Virtualization: KVM, Xen, OpenVZ, Virtualbox
•    Firewalling: iptables, ipfilter, ipfirewall, packetfilter,
•    Databases: MySQL, Postgresql, Oracle
•    Authentication: LDAP, Kerberos

Additional Relevant Skills:
•    Experience with Java servlets / servlet containers
•    Configuration of switches and VLANs, mainly Cisco
•    Experience deploying applications on cloud services
•    Understanding of basic encryption and authentication, certificates
and signatures
•    Experience specifically with Red Hat / CentOS and Gentoo
•    Email systems, DNS, VoIP, wireless networking
