I prefer IBM laptops.  You can find some from a couple years ago for 
this price on ebay.  The benefits are that it's light, quiet, and it 
has a built in UPS.

These are usually PII 700's and you can upgrade the ram and get a 
5400rpm disk.  This is just fine for a static webserver.
