This is how we learn not to do such things.  :)  The OP also posted the
question on bsdforums (where I, hopefully nicely, lectured him)

Anyway, I think it's worth posting this link of a faq of mine.  It's a
FAQ for a few Linux mailing lists aimed at newcomers, and the section
linked here deals specifically with netiquette.
