Right now (as in, I stopped to reply to this), I'm having moderate success 
using racoon(8) 0.7x with Cisco VPN Client 4.x.  Split subnet works, DNS 
interception works, Xauth authentication works.

racoon(8) is making a lot of progress that may help keep it competitive.
