Try giving a shout out to Ed Capriolo, who did a talk on Hadoop for
nycbug a few months back. He has done a lot of scripting for nagios
and cacti to get his automated hadoop deployments "phoning home" for
monitoring. He has some scripts up on his website which you can hack
on too... Just not sure where : )
