Try pkgsrc. The latest stable quaterly release ships 0.3.1.9. The HEAD
is on 0.3.2.9.

These hardening flags work on NetBSD and Linux, there is a good change
they work on OpenBSD as well:

PKGSRC_MKPIE=yes
PKGSRC_USE_RELRO=full
PKGSRC_USE_SSP=strong
PKGSRC_USE_FORIFY=strong

Dig the archives for building instructions for FreeBSD (other BSDs
should be no different).
