# Description: The Courant Institute is looking for an experienced
production editor to coordinate production of the Institute's publications
(journals and books), including typesetting, formatting and editing. Edit
CPAM and Courant lecture notes articles and books for layout, language,
grammar, and syntax. Collaborate with authors and referees for editing and
scheduling purposes and arrange for the transfer of files, materials and
subcontracting services with authors, publishers and printers. Provide
administrative support to the Math Department Chair and other faculty,
with heavy written and verbal correspondence. Maintain related websites.
Looking to hire immediately.

# Required Skills: Qualifications include 2 years related experience,
including experience in editing and production. Familiarity with
mathematical symbols, notation and nomenclature from all realms of
mathematics preferred. Successful candidate must have excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong technical
skills. Candidate must be computer savvy with knowledge of LaTeX and/or
HTML strongly preferred. Experience with UNIX preferred as well.
