    * Description: Cognia integrates bioinformatics databases and produces
a Java GUI product for mining. Currently we need a DBA/Admin to help
manage the systems. The shop here is mostly linux (SuSE), mostly
Oracle. Data aquisition and database management are handled with perl.

      Main tasks for the DBA:

      Maintain Unix and Windows database servers
      Assist in product installation at customer sites
      Assist in script writing for the purposes of data acquisition
Optimize SQL queries and perform database tuning

    * Required Skills:

      At least 3 years experience working with Oracle RDBMS
      Familiarity with Linux OS
      Familiarity with Windows OS
      Familiarity with Perl, including DBI and OO.
      Self-starter with good interpersonal skills
      Experience in bioinformatics or cheminformatics is a plus.
      Experience with Java and Java development is a plus
      Experience with Mysql is a plus
