      Job Description: As one of our consulting technical architects,
you will design, develop and implement high-quality technical solutions
based on VMware’s server and desktop products. You will be the technical
lead on one or more VMware professional services consulting project
teams, which could include other technical and education services
consultants.

      Responsibilities:
      * Provide technical leadership to VMware professional services
consulting project teams, which will include project work at customer
sites
      * Design and develop innovative solutions to customer requirements
using our server and desktop products, with assistance from our internal
engineering group as required
      * Maintain current knowledge of the entire VMware product line
      * Assist in the development of standard reusable VMware
“productized” consulting service offerings, including definition of
tasks, deliverables and standard estimates
      * Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer
business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to
develop effective solutions
      * Help to document best practices in developing and deploying
VMware solutions, and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by
customers and partners
      * Recruit and mentor other technical consulting staff
