* Description:
The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing and presenting
technical and business information for all Configuresoft’s products to
all buying influences in any organization: engineers/technical, buyers,
CIOs, and department heads. The SE effectively and proficiently
describes functionality, provides details as to product features,
competitive analysis, demonstrates, installs, and supports Configuresoft
’s products to ensure a technical win is obtained.
The Systems Engineer is responsible for presenting and providing
technical information necessary for end-users, prospects, and customers
to successfully implement Configuresoft Solutions. The Account Managers
are responsible for the overall management of these accounts, while the
SE works closely with his team through both the technical win and
business win. In order to build a successful team and territory, the
Systems Engineer will work closely with regional technical groups,
industry analysts, and consultants to evangelize Configuresoft’s
solutions. These efforts will include trade shows, seminars,
presentations to large groups, and the authoring of white papers. The SE
is responsible for entering sales account information into the CRM
database. The SE attends regional/area sales meetings and provides
account status and forecast information.
The SE has the primary responsibility for presales technical
support within the region. This requires the individual to obtain
necessary resources to ensure successful evaluations and implementations
of Configuresoft’s product line.
* Required Skills:
Required Skills
•A Bachelor’s Degree in a business or computer-related field, or
Post-Secondary Diploma or Post Secondary Certificate.
•Five (5) years experience in technical installation,
administration and support of computer products and services or
consulting role.
•Advanced technical knowledge of, but not limited to all Windows
OS platforms (XP, NT/2000 server, NT/2000 workstation, 9x), and NT/2000
server administration. UNIX, LINUX, AIX, HP experience a must
•Large enterprise experience 5000+ users
•Microsoft Certified Product Specialist and SUN Certifications a
plus
Additional Skills
•MCSE Certification a plus
•Large enterprise experience with 5000+ users.
•Systems Management Experience – MOM, NetIQ App Manager, BMC
Patrol, Bindview Tools, Security Tools, and Network Monitoring
•Outstanding customer relationship and presentation skills
including the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts
visually and orally.
•Strong written communication skills and customer service skills.
•Highly motivated with excellent work ethic, energy, initiative
and a team attitude.
•You must have an ongoing desire to stay current with software
market and the latest technologies.
•The candidate must be able to travel 3-4 days per week.
•Must be a self-starter, work from a remote office in the field.
•Desire to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.

New York City, NY
* Furthermore: This person can be located in the tri-state area but
the majority of the current business is in New York.
CISSP is a big plus.
