      This position entails general Linux systems administration and desktop support. The ideal candidate has experience in administering Linux running in high traffic web environments, willing to learn new skills, works well in a team, and is "smart and gets things done".

      Please respond only if you meet *all* of the requirements below.

      The job requires and entails:
          o Enjoys learning new technologies and concepts quickly and thoroughly
          o Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
          o Experience in Linux administration (preferably Gentoo)
          o Perl coding/scripting
          o Experience with LAN/WiFi networking concepts as well as basic Internet routing concepts
          o Usable understanding of various Internet networking protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS, SSH)
          o Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX
          o Good people skills (a portion of this job is desktop support)
          o Technical documenting skills

      Other Preferred Skills (not required):
          o Experience in data center environments
          o Experience installing and administering a Mysql environment
          o Experience with Apache Web Server 2.*
          o Experience installing and administering Apache Tomcat
          o Experience using SQL and Mysql
          o Experience administering mail servers (Postfix)
