      Our web-based applications are primarily being written in Java with some PHP.

      We are looking for a talented individual to lead a team in the systems administration, design, staffing, and day-to-day operations of a large scale consumer network and lead generation system.

    * Required Skills:

          o Smart, a good sense of humor, and a propensity to get the job done.
          o BS Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
          o Background focused on: IT, IS, Operating Systems, Networking .
          o 8+ years professional experience in software and IT.
          o 5+ years of experience managing software or IT teams.
          o 5+ years professional, hands-on experience administering the network infrastructure of a large consumer or financial system.
          o Ownership of physical data center facilities and relationships with ISPs, hosting facilities, and equipment vendors.
          o Responsibility over IT budget and resources.
          o Ability to write RFPs for equipment and services.
          o Experience in designing, planning, and implementing mission critical, fully redundant network solutions.
          o Expert level experience in Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and/or Solaris operating systems.
          o Expert level experience in web-servers.
          o Expert level experience in Microsoft software and operating systems.
          o Solid experience with back-office financial systems.
          o Solid experience with Perl, Bash, and other scripting languages.
          o Solid experience with a variety SQL implementations.
          o Experience configuring and managing network equipment: routers, switches, and load balancers.
          o Advanced knowledge of network security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls.
          o Excellent communication and project management skills including use of MS Project.
          o Programming ability a plus.
          o On call 24x7 pager support
