IAG Research is looking for a Senior Linux/Unix Systems and Network Architect and Administrator to assist in expanding the companyâs infrastructure. The position will be responsible for architecting, implementing and managing two key components of the business: Our consumer web presence is a 24*7 operations; our client web presence is a near 24*7 operation. Both environments are undergoing considerable growth. This is not simply a maintenance position, as both environments are making strides to upgrade hardware, operating systems, and database platforms. IAG is currently in the design and development stages of a new release of its consumer site. In addition, IAG is building out our client infrastructure to include a broader level of applications and services. Attention to detail, capacity to plan, ability to execute, and a commitment to excellence will take the individual far within the organization. IAG is a fast-moving, exciting place to work where you are limited to what you are willing to take and able to complete.
Responsibilities:
⢠Assist in planning, architecting, implementing and supporting infrastructure for our ever-expanding business
⢠Automated builds, tuning and maintenance of our UNIX and Linux servers
⢠Configuring and tuning of the network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers
⢠Software development for tools to build and monitor hosts and environment
⢠On call support of 24*7 services
* Required Skills:
Job Qualifications:
⢠Minimum 5 years prior experience with Redhat, Fedora or other Linux distribution in a server environment
⢠Minimum 5 years in design and administering networks
⢠Minimum 5 years in implementing and supporting Web infrastructure
⢠Extensive knowledge on SAN solutions
⢠Bachelor degree in computer science or related field
⢠Demonstrable experience with at least 2 of: bash, Perl, php, java (code samples or programming test may be required)
⢠Demonstrable understating of 3 tier, redundant internet architecture
⢠A working knowledge of RAID and other storage technologies
Desirable Skills and Experience:
⢠Checkpoint or Netscreen Firewalls
⢠Cisco routers and Switches
⢠Alteon Load balancers
⢠Solaris
⢠Oracle, mysql and the use of SQL
⢠Windows server, active directory, LDAP or Kerberos
⢠Windows and Linux/Unix interoperability
