My client, a mid-size, New York-based, full-service commercial & private bank, is seeking an experienced and skilled PowerBuilder client/server developer to assist in implementing GUI-based financial applications.  This position carries total annual compensation from $90,000 to $110,000 (depending upon experience and skills).

Position Responsibilities include:
> Designing, implementing, and rolling out high quality, GUI-based software applications
> Investigating and recommending technical solutions to complex problems
> Effectively communicating with team members and with the management team on design issues and decisions
> Developing formal design documents
> Estimating medium and large projects
> Actively participating with team and working comfortably with team members
> Articulating and presenting design decisions to a wide audience in both verbal and written communications

Professional Qualifications:
> Minimum 5 years development experience with PowerBuilder, 
> Minimum 5 years development experience with Sybase SQL, MS SQLSvr (DB2/Oracle experience a plus)
> Experienced in Sybase and MS SQLSvr DBA Utilities and industry recognized third-party utilities
> Minimum 5 years development experience UNIX shell scripting
> Minimum 5 years development experience using DOS/Windows batch scripts
> Minimum 2 years development experience using C/C++, MS Visual Source Safe, Merant PVCS Version Manager, MS Visual Developer Studio, MS SQ
Additional Desired Skills:
> 2 -3 years Lotus Domino, MQ Series, ODBC
> 3+ years JavaScript development experience
> 1-2 years of XML Experience
> 1 -2 years of iis and asp
> Possess knowledge in a variety of development processes and understand how to best tailor a development process to a development organization
> Experience in assisting or leading requirements gathering
> Possess strong object oriented analysis and design skills and demonstrate experience delivering successful OO designs to market
