Title:  Senior System Administrator

Position Description:  We are looking for a senior systems administrator
to manage, monitor and expand our infrastructure.

Our firm provides wireless data services, and has both infrastructure at
a co-location facility and in our office of some 50 staff.

This position includes, but is not limited to:

* Maintaining the co-location production environment on a 24x7 basis,
utilizing tools such as OpenNMS and remote KVM

* Working closely with Java developers to assist them in streamlining
their code, applications, and build and deployment process

* Ensuring operations in the staff environment and directing a help desk
employee

* Maintaining the infrastructure documentation with a Wiki and Subversion
and expanding to standardize procedures and operations

* Predicting growth of network traffic and proposing and procuring
necessary hardware and software enhancements.  This could include
integrating multiple facilities' environments for redundancy

* Further securing the operations against internal or external intrusions

* Managing and tuning production hardware to ensure proper configuration,
performance, and reliability

Qualifications:  To qualify for this position the candidate must have:

* 5-10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator with a data center
environment, including 2-3 years in a role of primary responsibility

* Proficiency with our core platform of Linux (FC2 and CentOS), Tomcat,
Apache and MySQL

* A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline

* The initiative to continually assess and develop the current
infrastructure as we grow

* The ability to work well with others in management, development and at
colocation facilities

* Strong professional references and notable technical achievements
