We have full-time, permanent staff openings (eligible for full benefits) for qualified technologists skilled in open source technologies, at various experience levels, in both Linux Administration and Development.





INDUSTRIES:  Technology; Finance; Media.
TECHNOLOGIES: Linux and/or BSD Unix. 24/7 high traffic web environment a plus. Familiarity with Java, Apache Tomcat, and MySQL administration. Ability to program fluently in one or more scripting languages – Perl and shell preferred. PHP/MySQL.

Looking for an opportunity to move your Linux Administration expertise into the Financial Services community? 



 

Our client is an established, boutique investment firm headquartered in the city. This is an opportunity to join their technology team as Linux administrator to support the development and production teams. They are in the process of migrating their core systems away from a Microsoft platform.  This role will be much more than just ordinary administrative tasks, as you will be an important part of the design and rollout of their future infrastructure!



 

Qualifications for consideration:




	- 
Strong experience building and administering a Linux platform, ideally using RedHat.



	- 
Experience working with various Storage devices and technology.



	- 
Experience developing disaster recovery plans.



	- 
Solid scripting experience.



	- 
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to present detailed technical information in a presentation format when needed.



	- 
B.S. in Computer Science or another engineering field required.



	- 
Track record of permanent employment is required for consideration.
