Security Solutions Engineer
CipherTechs, Inc - Northern New Jersey

Job Description

CipherTechs, Inc is seeking a qualified information security
professional for a full-time position. The position’s main focus will
be to provide clients with consulting services, which include the
design, implementation and support of various information security
projects. Candidates with previous consulting experience and the
ability to work both independently and as a part of a group are
preferred. Previous experience with firewalls, network
high-availability, VPN is necessary, as detailed below. This
opportunity will offer great learning experiences and professional
development through exposure to many diverse client environments and
challenges. Plus, training and research will be provided and
encouraged.
Skills

Candidates must be able to demonstrate, via discussion and references,
his/her ability to successfully design, implement and support network
and application security solutions in an enterprise environment.
Furthermore, detailed understanding of information security principles
is required. Applicants have to be able to assess project needs and
requirements and previous pre-sales experience is a plus. Close
interaction with project management and sales staff will be required.

The following knowledge and experience is also sought:
1.      Experience in information security focusing on deployment of
firewalls & VPN solutions is required.
2.      Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of
Juniper product suite in an enterprise environment is required.
3.      Thorough understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite is required.
4.      Knowledge of UNIX and Windows Server operating environments
are required.
5.      Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of
Check Point product suite in an enterprise environment is preferred.
6.      Knowledge and experience with design, implementation and support of
Bluecoat product suite in an enterprise environment is preferred.
7.      Experience and understanding of network design and troubleshooting
specificity as it applies to interoperability of firewall systems with
the network.
8.      Understanding of available redundancy solutions for firewalls
and networks.
9.      Knowledge of available Information Security resources, common
security issues, risks and mitigation strategies.
