3dm is pretty good.  I like it much better than the cli junkheap program 
adaptec supplies with their stuff.  Yeah, it's a web interface, but it 
does work very well.

My only concern with the 3Ware cards is that the FBSD driver has had some 
serious issues after the vendor driver import (check the archives).  Last 
time I tried 4.10 on a box with a 3Ware card it locked up within 5 minutes 
of booting.  Hopefully that's been straightened out.  The old driver had 
some performance issues, but stability was great (thanks Mike Smith).

Right, as far as the OS is concerned it looks more like a scsi disk than 
anything else...
