That really depends. Keep in mind, 10000 hours = 1 year. There are certain
drives that die after 10k hours, not 200k (75GXP, maxtor 6E series, etc).
Unfortunately, only painful experience can teach you that certain drives
are junk...

In that case, cost of media for tape is 1/10th of cost of 15k rpm scsi ;)
