What is a hackathon

Sorry for the top post . Yahoo mail hates me today .  To clarify ed and I worked together , there is an inside joke in this thread ;  I can not go into details . I totally expect a trophy to be created for the hacksathon winner .  The jackass in charge of the hacksathon believes it's more of a "I did it better and I win" then let's work together and make something better challenge .
