Dear nanotek,
There could be many reasons why it is not updated yet. Maybe the maintainer just didn't have some spare time.

It is  therefore typically best to try yourself to update the port by changing the respective files, and then send the patch to the maintainer via a Bug report. If you need help, please consult the "Porter's Handbook". It is also quite useful to open an account at redports.org where you can use the free testing facilities to make sure your port is fine.
