pkgsrc does not seem to contain the version you mention, but i suspect
it may have patched some of the issues to mitigate the problem. here is
my system in atlas:

it looks like after i applied the updated version from pkgsrc my traffic
came back to reasonable levels. i have not had time to verify that this
is truly the case though since i throttled back my advertised bandwidth
at the same time.
