Thanks for the thorough response, George.

I was just thinking of outgoing port-specific filtering in terms of
the amount of complexity and overhead it adds, and the fact that it
makes one's relay a worse Tor citizen. With that considered, I feel
that it would have to allow for a lot of extra security to be
worthwhile, and I don't know if it does.
