I will also bring to the meeting an .iso that installs 4.1-current
with ACPI and mp enabled.  Someone on the @misc just told me how to
enable sound for the new azalia0 driver:

     # echo outputs.lineout=255,255 > /etc/mixerctl.conf

so if anyone has a late model laptop that is acpi only and SMP, I
could definitely help you out.
I can also share how I manually installed the java man page from its
port into /etc/man.conf.
