Trying to do something simple... Delete the last line of every text file 
in a folder full of text files.

I know that POSIX sed vs. GNU sed can often mean that sed tutorials I find 
don't often work in FreeBSD. But this time I searched for BSD-specific 
sites and for some reason it still doesn't work:

This says it's as simple as: sed '$d' textfile

But it seems to do nothing. Anyone have any insight for me?
