[FrontRangeBUG] FreeBSD Installfest

Who is the administrator on this mailing list? It seems like emails going here are taking too long to get approved. Maybe because it was inactive for too long?

If the administrator isn’t local anymore, I’d like to switch the administrator to me or someone else who is local and involved in the group.

Next Monday is our Installfest Prep Meeting! Right now I have Reid, Roller, and Trent volunteering to help. If anyone is interested in helping, please RSVP, since I will be ordering pizza. I hope everyone can have pizza. It will be from Protos. Let me know privately if you can’t or don’t eat pizza.

 

The meeting will be 6-8, and people can arrive earlier if they wish, since I’ll be there all afternoon. 

 

I look forward to working with you folks on our first FRBUG Installfest!

Thanks Reid!

 

We have Reid, Roller, and Trent volunteering to help with the first ever Front Range BSD User Group FreeBSD Installfest! Our planning meeting will take place on Monday April 2, starting at 6pm. I’ll be there, if anyone wants to show up earlier. I can also order pizza from Protos. I’ll send out a separate email to the volunteers to make plans for the planning session.

 

In the meantime, think about what you think we should cover in the 2-2.5 hours, to introduce people to FreeBSD. If this is successful, we could potentially continue with another session to get them further along with FreeBSD and maybe get them to submit a patch for documentation. I’m putting together a Google Doc with some ideas that I will share.
