There was talk of the possibility of doing the con 2 weeks earlier to
accommodate some BSD-world dignitaries.
If that opportunity has passed, then I say go with Feb 1st as that would
be the only reason to change the date.
I don't think anyone going to the con takes Super Bowl pre-partying so
seriously that they start the day before.
