well...not sure what the problem is or exactly what you are after, but...

I use Vultr for OpenBSD VPS hosting, works well for me.  They seem to
be *BSD aware.

If you are after a stupidly simple VPN-like thing, you might want to look
at SSH tunnels.  I did a little writeup on them here:
