I used to prefer LaTeX, but these days I only use it as a postprocess 
for ReST documents.. so I can get nice PDF output from pdftex.  The 
only TeX I write by hand is the "stylesheet" stuff, which doesn't 
change very often.  If I was typing up equations, I'd definitely have 
to fall back to TeX, though I should be able to do that in unprocessed 
ReST blocks as-needed.
