Then you speak of removing the options from the kernel.  

My pet peeve is, would it have killed them to add to UPDATING, since each
time various people post to CURRENT and STABLE asking how to
do it, something like

"To disble malloc, if you choose to do so, do ln -s aj
/etc/malloc.conf"?   


The make cleanworld target is also not yet documented in
UPDATING--that's less of a peeve because you don't get three people
posting to STABLE and/or CURRENT each time, asking how to do it--because
they don't know about it.
