Candidate must demonstrate strong technical skills in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of multi-vendor, multi-protocol LAN/WAN environments. High level knowledge of network/security best practices, and protocols/applications including IPSec, SSH, PPTP, L2TP, LEAP, PEAP, 802.1X, 802.11i, Raduis, TACACS+, Ciscosecure ACS, Cisco VPN, Ciscoworks, Netflow, IDS (PureSEcure), Ethereal, Snort. Hands on experience with unix and linux operating systems and shell and perl scripting languages; manipulate data from system logs and maintain systems/tools/applications related to IDS, IPS, and network/security. Collaborate with departmental staff, system administrators and third parties (vendor, etc) in troubleshooting and implementing network security solutions. Educate users and partners on security issues and policies. Provide leadership in 3rd level troubleshooting. Participate in weekly 24 hr./7day week on-call rotation.
