Flatbush Brooklyn weathered the storm well. It is a hurricane evacuation site I guess for a good reason. Lots of trees down everywhere I biked today.
23rd and FDR on the little island did not fare so well. My $work, on pier over East River, was spared internal flooding except for the mechanical room in the basement. We'll probably be out of power until the salt water damage can be repaired. Boats on the docks next to our building look to be in good shape. A guard who spent the night in the building (did no one mention the evacuation order?) said the captain was 'piloting' the boat all night so it wouldn't get washed ashore. Washed away car damage was visible all the way to 1st avenue. I saw pickings blocking the road.
