it will be a question of the drivers more than the software above it,
I doubt that they are doing the band selection directly as you can
normally rely on the base networking layer and the device drivers to
handle all that.

But I might be wrong, as I've only looked at this superficially, it is
something I might dive into if I get that thing people keep talking
about ... free time? ....
