  Gdb is the answer for userspace applications . I am not sure what is used today for kernel dumps on openbsd.  Some bsds use(ed) a modified gdb for kernel dumps . You could, in theory , use lldb from llvm/clang but this is a wip and I am not sure how useful it would be .
