I am recommending to readers of the NYCBUG Talk list the following law 
review article:

"Captured Innovation: Technology Monopoly Response to Transformational 
Development", by Reed Showalter (US Dept of Justice Antitrust Division 
during Biden administration) and Laura Edelson (Northeastern University)

A law review article that should be read by geeks?  WTF!

Yes, because what's happening around generative AI now is strongly 
affected by the market power of large, technologically advanced 
corporations and how the government addresses that market power. 
Earlier cases in point (and cases in law):  IBM and AT&T.  Today:  Google.
