Authority's Chaos Division:

For those local, everyone knows what to expect. . . but for others:

We have clearly posted that the local 6 train at Astor Place, one stop
south of Union Square, is the closest subway.

The downtown Lexington Avenue subways (4, 5, 6) are fine, which probably
covers the majority of people.

The uptown trains, however, are a mess again.

All Lexington Avenue trains are local, which includes the 4 and the 5.

However, no trains stop at Astor Place going uptown. It's probably
better to just get off at Union Square and walk the seven blocks south.

Good luck :)
